In A Rock Glass No Chaser Poem by Richard Wlodarski

In A Rock Glass No Chaser

Pour me a glass of cheer
My bartender my dear
For tonight I'm full of fear
Pour me a shot of whiskey
My darling my missy
Making life less risky
Pour me a shot of rum
So I'm not such a bum
In what feels like a slum
Pour me a shot of Grey Goose Vodka
And Sambuca so we can salsa
And get out of town in a Jetta

Pour me no chaser
Makes me less racier
Letting go of fear
Pour me no whiskey
Especially
In my misery
Pour me no rum
When I feel glum
And life's so dumb
Pour me no booze
So I don't lose
When I snooze
