I live
In a nation
that stands
for democracy?
Fearless expressions
Of truth,
Of beauty
in all that
we do or speak
in whatever
we think and act.
I live here
Unarmed-
Where safety is
with them
who are somehow
armed-
armed with muscles,
armed with ammunitions,
armed with power,
armed with police,
armed with money,
armed with law.
But I am a mere
voter, who is bonded
with a rigid pledge
never to complain
prior to the end-
End of five long years,
end of your term,
end of your regime.
