Immortal Creation Poem by Gautam Sen

Immortal Creation

Life is destined to an obvious end
To perform this journey we set our trend

Some dip in the depth of great creation
In a self styled way without big mention

Some prefer to earn riches' golden hat
Some spend the time idle, enjoying like that

All will have to leave this mundane abode
Journey may be long or short on life's road

Luxury lurks to lure; gorging with greed
Forgetting our goals of ethical creeds

Fear God or not, think at least of your soul
Life without a deed needs to be consoled

We'll leave this place without leaving trace
Earth rolls on for the rest of human race

So put your wisdom in some kind of form
Art or literature enriching life's norm

We live on our deeds even after death
Creative works never breathe the last breath
