Imagine if the moon was cheese
and the sun was mayonnaise.
If the darkest, deepest inky night
was bright like sundrenched days.
Imagine if the highest hill
was easier to climb,
then you could start imagining
maybe you were still mine
Imagine in a perfect world
each rainfall would taste sweet,
and kids can play and run about
in safety on our streets.
Imagine if the clocks ran back
and trains would run on time,
then try for once imagining
maybe you were still mine
Imagine if instead of hurt
we only knew to care,
and having riches really meant
we had much more to share.
Imagine feeling happiness
just because we could
and loneliness was never known,
and evil turned to good
Imagine if you can, my love,
The pain you left behind.
The endless nights of sleepless dreams,
and peace I cannot find.
To change a world that feels so cold
and reset everything.
to be with you just one more time...
in my imagining.

An excellent poem, makes one think. If only we could turn back time, what wouldwe do differently.
Ah yes indeed., I wonder what decisions we would make to change our lives if we could turn back time? We would hope they would be good ones..but fate has a way of making sure that she is heard one way or another..Thank you so much Tango for reading and taking the time to make such a nice comment..I really appreciate it!
