I'm Looking For A Friend Poem by Shehu Abubakar Niasse

I'm Looking For A Friend

I'm looking for a friend I can hold hands with
Bond and connect without bandwidth
A beautiful reminder, stern warner
And one with whom I feel warmer.
I'm looking for a sweetheart I can call my own,
Who wherever she is I call my home.

A bringer of roses, hibiscuses, and bliss,
A harbinger of victory, and from my home, a banisher of Iblis.

One in whose honor
I bask— she bears it like a basket of splendor

My pains soothed away by her serenading voice of a trained tenor
A Khadija-n who smolders me & calms my heart tremor.
