Illusionary Memories

Illusionary Memories
--FreeBird 02

Was it me
…you thought you'd seen
Or just a memory
…you thought could never be?

For the days
…you yearn for more,
Though it is blind unto you,
The more you show
About the less you know
The more others can see
…the real in thee.

The catch in this reality,
Of stepping beyond its fallacy,
Is catching a glimpse upon the tranquility
...of the more you learn
…the less you know
…about what you show.

Though showing is telling
…what most yearn to hide
Those which learn to glow
…feel lovingly warm
...deep inside.

Illusionary Memories
…still have secrets within
…as long as one pretends
The visions they see
Could never be
...no worse
…no better
Than their focus upon
…misconceived memories.
