Illuminating Safety Poem by Christopher Cariad

Illuminating Safety

Inside this box
I had a life,
A rich career
And everything needed to succeed.
But that box gets old from time to time
As I fiercely jump out
To go for my dreams.
Leaving the safety of those four walls,
I face the dangers
Of this undetermined world.
To reach my dreams
And Conquer my happiness.
Just to find, the safety of that box
Was but a chain holding me back.
It was but a prison with stone walls,
That kept me from my full potential
And the life I now lead.
This box was meant to be conquered
So that one could succeed.
