Ignorance Is Bliss Poem by Manabendra Lal Bhuyan

Ignorance Is Bliss

My mistake is that I understand,
And my failure was thinking it would help.
I see through it all, but I cannot move.
Knowing enough to doubt, but not enough to prove.

The purpose is there, but never the way.
Each step forward, lost in delay.
I am just here, just trying to survive,
Wishing I never saw beyond staying alive.

Had I never known, I'd have never missed,
The weight of meaning, the taste of bliss.
A fool with nothing, yet nothing to lose,
No wisdom, no purpose, no burden to choose.
