Good one Kim, but i wonder at the choice of '' cause us pain '' because the pain and that is why the poem seems to be yours not his. If any pain was caused to him also then holding hands or whatever was worth it.But generally pain is inflicted upon the more nobler and earnest one. You may certainly not agree.
