Jane, dad was wonderful to all people of all ages. He made up poems for me when I was young.. PS, excuse misspellings I make, I can't go back and correct them on my device, sorry.
A beautiful memorial to a wonderful dad, well articulated and elegantly crafted with conviction. An insightful creation, very heartfelt. Thanks for sharing, Panagiota.
My father deserved tis tribute and more, Chinedu. He shared his heart and money with anyone in need of it. quite a humanist, thank you..Panagiota
I have done it, Panagiota! I have lived to grow old, and so has Wes Vogler, whose comment is below. Wes is a great guy. You really should read his comic strip " Early Days with Oogie" . Wes is a very talented artist and cartoonist, and writes a limerick to accompany each strip!
Kim, I have done it, like you and Wes! We are blessed to grow old. I have trouble locating poets on the site. I can't explain it. I usually have to go to search engine to find them, , , it's silly sounding but the format here confuses m Panagiota thank you.
You have a good handle on life from the sounds of it, My dad always said take as little abuse as possible and try to harm no one ... this has always worked for me for 89 years and counting. Hope to hear more from you
I did reply in the wrong place! Sorry it's listed with other comments about your limerick. Panagiota, new learner, -)) sorry for my confusion,
please take a look at my thrice-weekly comic strip " Early Days With Oogie" recommend you start at #1
Excellent advice, but I don't expect to take my Borsalino with me.
Actually, I have his Borsalino. It was only my imagination that he is wearing one now.
