If You Are To Be A Lady Poem by Isadora Quagmire

If You Are To Be A Lady

Rating: 5.0

If you can show humility and candor clear,
And care for others, holding them dear;
If you can balance grace with fortitude,
And always act with sincere gratitude;
If you can stand tall but never boast,
And put others' needs before your own most;
If you can lend a hand to those in strife,
With kindness and compassion in your life;
If you can love your family with a heart so true,
Cherish your friends, and siblings too;
If you can show courage through darkest night,
And shine as a beacon, pure and bright;
If you can shun deceit and lies,
And see through falsehoods' dark disguise;
Find joy in simplicity's art,
And cherish life's blessings with all your heart.
If you can care for each day that dawns,
And marvel at beauty in the simplest forms;
Then you'll live a life both rich and grand,
And leave a legacy that forever stands.
