If The Shoe Fits Poem by Ronald Strickland

If The Shoe Fits

If the shoe fits, one might say. suggesting things may go your way. So many I have tried on that would take me to so many places without hope or dreams, in so many different directions.

Like so many before me who served this great Country, I thought not, maybe the shoe will fit. With them highly shined, I stepped forward and stood side by side with so many brothers and sisters. As we together moved forward for a cause we all believed.

If the shoe fits, step into them, walk the mile in our shoes. After the mile, block the thought you're a mile away and have our shoes! Continual your journey and honor and serve as so many do. In those shoes you'll always stand proud,
