If Not God Or The Devil Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

If Not God Or The Devil

Rating: 4.0

If Not God Or The Devil

I could consider innocence,
If not God,

If I have encountered desperation's needs,
If not the devil,

If not his temptations,
If not his sins of the flesh,

I'm asking your permissions,
your presences for all my dispositions,

sensing God inside my heart,
Like an armor or a shield,

Or the heavy rod when I'm angry,
and thrashing my enemies,

Like Moses and God or the devil,
equivalent or lacking,

the way life or death
ordainedthis living creature
Dead Citizens or decadent
normal or the enlightened ones,
