I enjoyed reading this poem. I like the way the poet asks himself these questions

This poem has inspired me to post one of my own, called "If I were the Only One", just posted a few minutes ago. Thank you for the inspiration!

I liked the first half more then the 2nd, and would make some changes. :) line 11 " Something significantly of note to live in infamy" According to Merriam-Webster (online) : " 'of note' (an idiom) important and deserving to be noticed or remembered American writers of note include Herman Melville, Mark Twain, and Emily Dickinson, & L MILTON HANKINS." bri :)

'And all the great verses and rhymes of the past Were suddenly swept away in the awful crush Of today's destructive and cacophonous voices' were this to happen, humanity would restart writing again, new voices perhaps new languages, always out of the old comes the new I liked your poem, if all the poets had left, singers would still sing lyrical, at least those lines in poetic verse chorus.
