I honestly get the emotions of what you are saying, because I believe you have been treated this way and that is horrible. But if you flip this around, it sounds just like my marriage. If he treated me the way any human being deserved to be treated, I would be a so much happier person therefore he'd be happier. He's too angry and self centered to see that. I wish he could read this, but he thinks poetry, inculding mine is useless. alas, he would never even see himself in this piece. I thank you for writing this.
