This is really...really good. I agree with Grady... - I was raised a Christian. Their beliefs being the only ones I knew. I've thought about it for quite some time the past few years and have come to the conclusion that I don't have the same beliefs... It's hard to admit it though, I mean... changing something that important and influential in your life is bound to be met with doubts.
I can relate with this as well. Growing up in a Christian home I turned from religion to blasphemy to existentialism. But then I met a pastor who taught me about God's grace and love. Now I don't seek out man's religion but search out peace with God. I pray you find grace and salvation not religious dogma.
Great poem, Jack. I don't see why people are rating it so low...I guess they're just scared of it and want to bury it. But don't worry, it will be noticed by those that seek this type of wisdom.
