if god is now officially dead

amen to this...i especially love the what is man if made in the image of line...and yes...those who find no need for intelligence behind intelligant design...well what an oxymoron that is...but not just the message, also the way that the poem decreases line length toward the final lines...like drawing conclusions...making the answer simple
This is just an amazing poem. You've obviously thought deeply, and shared a unique perspective. It's nice to see a fellow Texan - stung into poetry - stung into wisdom. Visionary stuff, here. I'm glad I found it.
William, The dance of belief and disbelief-how far we've come with our own demands on who God is, whiny and pitiful, to say the least. Yet understandable, how lost and fearful human kind is, and what have we learned to listen to-If truth doesn't come in a 20 second sound byte, then what good is it? I like your stream of consciousness and open-heartedness. Thanks, friend, Phillip
The last three lines of your first stanza are really heightened language-those are three beautiful lines.
An intellectual proclamation of man and his relationship to his Deity and man's nature in wanting to know and achieving explanation. But as Albert Einstein once said, 'The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mystery.' And it all boils down to that the more we learn, the less we realize we really know and that we should just have faith and accept. A very good piece. - K.
this was so uplifting..... and I say 'uplifting' only because I am sure that there are any people thinking the same exact things that you have touched upon here... but are afraid or don't know how to articulate it. you have done it very well here.... this was an awesome poem... I enjoyed every minute of it kay
Very well written! A person who tries to understand God, is no better than a psychiatrist. ' I do not waste valuable time trying to understand the complexity of the human mind. I leave such an assignment to the only one with the qualifications for such a task, The creator himself!
This is an amazing masterpiece! True, strong, energic, beautiful, great use of words, I just have to give you a 10! Thank you very much for sharing this great poem with us! ~~Elya Thorn~~
Your poem asks a huge question WJ. I don't think there is anyone who can answer! The future isn't our to determine, imo All we can do, is our best in the now. I believe there are enough voices in the world today however, to steer us safely, one way or another into the future. But that is just me....Miss Tai Chi, full of positivity. Great read indeed.
This is one of those poems that christians must say they like, otherwise they'll feel bad or god will be insulted or something. Although I like the set up of the poem, I do not agree with the plot. However, that matters little.
