If God ever wishes to befriend me,
First I shall tell him,
'Wait, let me feel You once'
And I shall stretch my hands to Him.

Dear Ozark Mountain Homegrown and Matt Mooney, I have asserted the non existence of God all across the lines and my conditions for befriending Him clearly point to that. If theists are ready to accept any kind of God just because they think He is there, I am daring enough to say it is not possible for me. I request you to read my poems/.submissions of the kind when you feel free and I shall be reading yours too. Regards..

This fine poem comes so close to God it's hard to believe it was written by an atheist. There is a touch of doubting Thomas after the Resurrection about it. Pope Francis recently spoke with great understanding on the subject of atheism. Anyway I admire the poem.

God and Nature first made us what we are, and then out of our own created genius we make ourselves what we want to be. Follow always that great law. Let the sky and God be our limit and Eternity our measurement. a very unique and thought provoking write sir...

I feel very elated reading al the innumerable comments on this poem............as you have rightly pointed out, God is one, he resides in each ones heart, n if gotten a chance to befriend him, means nothing less than being with him in heaven.............ur last para on getting shot / crucifixed, death be it in any manner, ulimately the sole destination would be near God, the only path of befriending Him...........a gud write Sir

Well, Gratitude immense, dear Dineshji, for your powerful versification. I wonder, and am delighted, at the responses, reviews, expressions from much lofty realms of acumen those bards have selflessly submitted in respect to your good self. Your poem has successfully triggered many souls. Beyond the conventional possibilities of a verse, your thought as it incarnated into exceptionally enthusiastic souls, attained much repute and blessings. For an ordinary reader, it might leave a gentle irritation of a controversy. But, the kind of ideological and intellectual explosion your verse has caused still resounds far behind the mass-less walls of souls. I wish your robust current belief got more mellow to consider leading a genuine Yaga in pursuit of the absolute understanding; Is there, if yes, Who and How, Why and Why Not. Vijayee Bhava:

I think God is the word which can be felt as a symbol of honesty, purity. The word anchors us to a world of belief which may guide us and shows us the right path.

God is there for you and everybody but you don't believe or do you? He seem's never far from your thoughts and you present a case that he could be around, But you choose to keep the door firmly shut, I think love is God and when we love, his presence is within us all! Entertaining write!

Comment: 3 Oh Aswath, I wish I were a curious child And you were talking about things pertinent I wish I were to own 16% of my brain And view with you all that divinity creating the stardust first. I wish I were otherwise one among the lower organisms And you and I were not to talk all this like this. I wish you were to say 'cheers' Filling your new glass with some new wine! Some write when drunk And then edit when sober. Aswath, I cannot edit anything here. Happy to know that you read a lot of things on science just as I read the stuff written on God or religion. But the devices vary and like you I cannot still ponder over the past preceding the big bang and the supreme power with mandatory existence to be a cause and then to shrink to the image of a passive observer. I congratulate you Aswath, for your argumentative skills which have a million reverberations across the caves of this world with one mouth. I am standing at its entrance knowing the trap within and can only retreat and there is no question of going in for the saying goes, ' curiosity kills the cat'. I am pained myself indeed that the world I see is in mere state of some kind of continuance like a rudderless boat floating for sometime quite surprisingly. That surprise does not mean its under currents have positively destined its safe sailing. Because there is a boat seen, we need not assume that a boat is mandatory to have a rudder. The sinking boat obviously frowns at its rudderless state. Thirupathi Chandrupatla sir, The PH is as every other platform is synonymous with one teeming with men and women who cannot be different for a change even after centuries of observations of the pathos and pangs of the life surviving on this planet.. We think, so we exist and we feel, so we express. I know your asking for a consensus as a matter of clear message that amounts to the usual saying 'much can be said on both sides'. But to me, compromise is half defeat here and I am not in a desperate state of finding a torch that can be flashed on a thing that isn`t there. While it is up to the Almighty to manifest in whatever way He wants provided He exists, I am bothered about the absolute absence of any Divine Intervention which to me is not convincing and the babbling of the millions cannot change the scenario. My poem is a humorous protest against a blind and deaf God who has no heart either. If you prefer to believe that God can be in a state of His choice doing or not doing anything whatever way He likes, I differ with you. Anyway I am to soon read your poem to know yet again how another poet is searching for the cat which is not there in a dark room. Thank you sir. Geetha Jayakumar, what you have written I do never delete and my poem is not to be weighed down by any counter writing as it is not my personal poem on my individual woes and the argument is not aimed at educating the 'much erudite'. Gulsher John, happy to see a message from you after almost half a year. This write has not been submitted for symbols and metaphors to have a say and see how it lies like Abhmanyu fatally wounded in the Padma Vyooha. That`s another tale John. Anyway I am obliged to read you as you were my reader long long before.

Dinesh this time you went with very plain discussion abt god's existence, would much better if you insert symbols and metaphors........ caz for such gigantic themes more sublime tone is best suited Anyhow the attempt is mind blowing... P.s. would like to invite you to read my new one (how little i understand) playing the same tune

Almighty/God is a concept we develop and accept. Your idea of touching and feeling him is very reasonable in my view. I don't know where you will find a savage when God has befriended you. Please see my poem 'Almighty' when you have time. I went with another approach. I am sure you will get lot of discussions and hope you will find a consensus. Thank you for a thought-provoking poem.

@Dinesh Sir: I dont want to fume a debate, as if I did, that will be like a cactus posing equal to a banyan tree. But a few points sir. 1. You said nothing but Humans, that too the vast majority of humans alone are haunted by God and the concept of God. 2. You said that since such people count is far insignificant to the trillions of species in earth. 1) Now let us see these sentences. If, the number of people who believe in God doesn't form a significant sample out of total population and hence dejected, the same would apply to to stronger sceintific minds as well since their size is more or less the same! 2) Earth happens to be between Venus and Mars. Okay. That is in Solar system which is in Milky way along woth Alpha Centaury. Beyond? Lets say Universe as a whole. How did it emerge? From mass? How did mass emerge? Big Bang Theory. Before that? Stardust. Before that? How will you scientifically explain the emergence of the first ever unit of energy?

Very Fantastic write..Yes, I believe in supreme power, which in there in every one..Energy is power, Why in temples we feel positivity, why in hospitals we feel negativity. The mantras has powerful effect..Mantras are the words. Just chanting OM will fill you with positivity. Gayathri Mantra is the power mantra. In temples there is positive power due to daily chanting of mantras.. so when one goes to temple, its vibrations or surrounding bring positive energy. I love this topic. But I am stopping it because then your entire pages will be filled and definitely you will have to delete it..But definitely I feel we cannot separate ourselves from the divine power with which we are born with.. Its a very good topic...I love to talk on this non stop..

I presume Valsa Mam`s God is everybody`s God and it will be quite unbecoming of Him to throw such surprises for me later. And for that reason alone, I may have to write another poem from His abode and it will be titled THE INCORRIGIBLE DUO.
