If Beauty Is The Libation Poem by Stephen Omolori

If Beauty Is The Libation

If beauty is the libation poured on women's feet,
Then yours flows more than the Nile.
A sight for my sore eyes,
Everyday, the Sun is speechless when he sees you.
Like torches lit inside a cave, your're my light when it's dark.

Your lips' fullness are like that of a fecund earth,
Inviting me to plant kisses at sunrise.
To discourage imitation,
Buried with Atlantis is the clay you're made from.
Like paintings on a ceramic cup, you make my life colourful.

Like a Cyclops staring longingly at his betrothed,
I've got eyes for nobody else but you.
Amazed by your beauty,
I'm drawn into the realm of peace by your words.
Like the half which makes another whole, you complete me.

Like joyous hypersomniacs after successful trips,
I fall asleep knowing you treasure me.
Magnifying matrimony,
The halo above your head reflects upon our rings.
Like a sling in king David's hands, you make my wars easier.

Like Mt Patti burning at night during harmattan,
This fire attracts the eyes of everyone.
Magnetic and charming,
You are the eye candy my eyes won't lose to time.
Like sugar poured into a cup of tea, you bring me sweetness.

Though pretty faces attract the worst of wrinkles,
Hebe tells Father Time, "She's mine! "
If she fails on her words,
It won't dim or quench this fire that I write about.
Like the pebble a gentoo penguin gives its partner, have this:

Tho' fine and alluring women abound,
It's only you my world is built around.
