Idlozi Child Poem by Paris Thulare

Idlozi Child

Before thinking of suicide
Think of the helpless lying in hospitals seeking your prayes,
Think of all the innocent rotting in jail for all crimes they didn't commit
Think of all who died unable to talk,
Think of all the crippled,
who find it hard to sleep, to eat and drink
All they can cling on is somebody by their side

Before thinking of suicide,
Think of all the bullets you dodged until now
All those sickness you passed from then toddlerish years until now
Think of all the dead who wanted such life you have,
But simple pains ended their lives
Yet here you are, alive

Why do you?
Want to take such precious life
When you are so close to cling greatness?
Why do you want people to pity you,
Whilst you have hands and feet all packed
Wake up mta'Wethonga

Those lives needs some saving
The evil needs some challenging
Those patiencts need healing
And that healer is you

Those pains are a wakeup call
Nothing is blocking you climb the wall
You are not bewiched at all
This needs you to stand up tall
Ending a life is no a solution
Atone with you flaws
And grab a stand before dawn
Thokoza!
