Identity Where Found Where Lost? Poem by Terence George Craddock

Identity Where Found Where Lost?

identity where is identity found where lost
where is identity flame forged into strength
where is identity struck broken cast into rust
is identity found swept up in a space crowd
walking assumed similar identical motivations
is identity lost hammered beaten into submission
beaten into submission by brutal bully minds
identity found rushing into mantle crowd shroud

lost dissolving into crowd mass indifference
behold the crowd paradox not surrounded
by people embraced by common desires
experiences emotions but mass surrounded
by people in isolated sterile abandonment
the crowd an active entertainment space

the crowd a chaos political riot protest space
the crowd an isolating disappearing space
merging into mass bodies without leaving a trace
the thought-provoking fascinating large crowd

simultaneously a place to hide and a place to get lost
shuttle lives passing through lived in life loom our lives
weaving metaphor emphasizing delicate threads existence
threads that connect us all sharing woven threads of reality

until we become cut threads cut off cast out
from moving continuing loom life tapestry defining
all humanity hung in a planet space in space
