Identity theft also known as identity fraud, refers to when a cyber criminal gains accesses to someone’s personal informations or misuse or attempt to misuse it for their own personal gain. Plagiarism comes under the umbrella of identity theft and is believed to be an act o fraud usually attempt by the students who takes some ones else work or ideas and use them as their own rather than giving credit to original owner of the work or receiving content before taking the data material

its unethical to steal someones work and post it with our name. Cynthia is saying that its just like robbing someone of his or her belonging. a piece of work by someone is like an asset for that person and its not acceptable to use that piece of work without the author's permission.
