Wonderful to read you again, my dear friend. Your last lines are very touching and memorable. Brief, but beautiful. Warm wishes, Sandra
Yeah, we must not lose our identity. When love is given without a lie, then love shall bring freedom and freedom can make one understand him/herself.
Identity given through the eyes of the beloved is a reinforcing power. But one should have already found this self-identity, perhaps, to accept oneself before being fully accepted/loved by someone else. It helps love to be even greater between two persons. Suffering makes us feel our identity within ourself, and we are not always ready to go through this 'test'. In this case, the love of others can help rebuilding a better image of oneself, but the way is still to be walked to find oneself... and accept everything that we are, even our weaknesses... (to try to correct them perhaps but to feel who we are first) Very well written! 10
