I'd Say Poem by Cal Riley

I'd Say

Rating: 5.0

If I could talk to you right now, I'd say I'm proud of who you are,
You know what you deserve, right now, your head and not your heart

You're as perfect as a one could be, in every single measure,
What a compliment it is for me,
That we were once together

How on earth our souls entwined,
I will never know,
You look like who I used to be
A long long time ago.

You unlocked in me my essence,
That I thought was gone
Since you breathed your breath in me
Now I can not move on

You inflate my curiosities
Deflate my ego too
Make me seek adventure when its just you in the room

I stand by all your causes,
Though I don't quite understand
To be revolutionary and an activist
To me goes hand in hand

So if you get a moment down the road to catch your breath
And the world you've fought to live in seems to fight back and won't bend
Just know you've changed a world in me and that you did alone
You've changed my world completely, just by being known
