I'd Rather Be Alone Poem by Matt Render

I'd Rather Be Alone

Id rather be alone
Than have to deal the insufferable
Torrential downpour
Of your overbearing soul
Collapsing down
Like wet cement
From hot breaths
And those words
The sick breath of your words
They come in swarms
In hoards
Of hornets from the filthy nest of a whore
Festering worms
Infectious germs
Every moment more
Of your awfully flitting
ugly lying eyes
Fitting me perfectly
And that cheating heart pumping more
Of that life negating energy into your
Cancerous leeching veins
And that face
Searing into my brain
Hot hot hot disgust
It rains black tar and scum
And echoes your name
O contemptuous one
In dusty damp hallways
Of the always miserable
Always deplorable
Wretched gloom
Depraved monstrous rodents
Crawling through tombs
Laying and raping
In Nightless days
deranged deformed countenances
And awfully depraved
Lips twisted in a nasty gnarl
Snarling
Expelling bile
Black as my behind
With pigtails that twirl
Your voice ringing out like a desperate cackle
Singing nothing but
A vacant sigh
Vying for my everything
The last scraps of pride
Buying me with promise rings
Of infidelity
And blindness
Impossible incredulous
Cruel love
Harkening to the slaughter
Of a million baby doves
Each one crushed
In your tight black glove
Your fingers know one thing
The touch of blood
They know not love
They know not love
