Ice Cold Revenge Poem by Shaun Cronick

Ice Cold Revenge

Rating: 5.0

I'll be away from work for some time,
Simply abroad to hunt someone.
A ghost from my past of a previous life,
I won't stop till my deed is done.

I cancel my appointments,
And redirect all my calls.
I'll be armed to my teeth,
Until he's mine and falls.

I never tell of my past,
What I did in a previous life,
And of this inept assassin,
Who missed me and killed my wife.

I need to put,
My plan in action.
My vow of revenge,
And self-satisfaction.

Various currencies,
And false I D's.
Set of handcuffs,
With no keys.

I'll need something,
To pack a punch.
One grenade?
No! I'll take a bunch.

So off I travel,
To a land afar.
I'll slice his face off,
Bring it home in a jar.

A bad taste,
Deep inside of me.
Like a dirty coin,
From a past set free.

I have my knife,
So finely honed.
Ice cold revenge,
So long postponed.

He'll be with others,
Of that no doubt.
But with my skills,
Easy to takeout.

When confronting him,
My wrath won't waver.
Slowly dispatching him,
My soul will saviour.

I'll make him suffer,
It'll last for days.
He'll pay in screams,
For I have my ways.

Ice-cold revenge,
Is all I crave.
I'll bury him,
In a shallow grave.

I'll show no mercy,
Or any good grace.
For my dark revenge,
Reveals a dark face.

Thanks Soran and you've hit the nail on the head by saying not real and jokey, which it's meant to be. Got the idea from an old Lee Marvin movie called Point Blank a guy named Walker seeking endless retribution and is a bit surreal (is he dead? A ghost seeking revenge?) Great movie. And thanks Soran for your kind comment.Take care. And there's a poem about Audrey Hepburn coming.
