I Won't Let You In.(Unfinished) Poem by Ace Of Black Hearts

I Won't Let You In.(Unfinished)

The lights go out yet again.
A melody starts to play.
Like tomorrow is just another day.
Some think I got it easy.
Like I haven't been working since the age of 16.
Taking responsibility since very beginning of my life.
Never taking it too far.
Tip toeing down a very fine invisible line.
Making so many mistakes along the way.
Explaining myself to all the shades grey.
Falling in and out of love.
Praying to God above.
At peace when it comes push to shove.
Grabbing the bottle at times and drinking the pain away.
That was then, this is now.
I told you I was bettering myself.
Not my fault you didn't believe me.
I built this castle brick by brick with my bare bloody hands.
Now you want in.
Let me ask you where you've been.
That makes you think you deserve to have me open my doors.
You lost my trust so long ago.
And now it's cold.
And you just want a place to get out of the snow.
