I Wish You Were Mine Poem by Mary Eleanor Barbusa

I Wish You Were Mine

Rating: 5.0

This heart of mine yearns to feel your love,
Like a dove soaring high from above.
Heart beats fast as memories intensify,
For loving you, even the hardest situation can't defy.

Your eyes sparkle when it meets mine,
Your aromatic scent makes me shiver to my spine.
Oh, this heart is dreaming for your affection,
Can you look at me and give me your attention?

For this heart can love you with the entire predicament,
I may stumble and fall, yet ready to face the imminent.
Truth is, i love you but can you bear with me?
Then if NO, then this heart will go down on a bended knee.

Love comes, love goes but pain remains intact.
Loving you from afar, wishing you were mine is a fact.
You have touched my heart and soul for no particular reason.
I've let you in, forgetting the past hardest lesson.

You were never supposed to mean this much.
You were never supposed to feel my touch.
But you captured my heart and I'm caught off guard,
Allowing it even i know having you is hard.
