I Wish I Was In Love. Poem by Andrew Matthews

I Wish I Was In Love.

I wish I was in love
Oh how I wish I was in love
In love I wish it would never end
And after all it allways does.

It has been such a long wait
Since I last found the key
To a lovers gate.
My desire for love will never ever dissipate.

For love and desire go hand in hand
Both in eternal search for a golden wedding band.
Then BANG your head is lighter than air
Someone's made you love made you want made you care.

Time let's you know
Whether she's a friend or hidden foe.
A week or two maybe all you'll have
Or 60 years full of joy and love.
