I Wish I Was A Bird Poem by Alyssa Marquardt

I Wish I Was A Bird

Thick white feathers,
Soaring by,
Flying high-
In the clear blue sky.

If I were a seagull
I could watch over the seas.
And if I were an eagle.
I could spread my brilliant wings.

Oh I wish I was the blue jay,
With a charming song to sing.
-A peaceful voice to be heard.
If only I could be a bird.

I want my plain, white feathers
To change to a bright green.
Oh I wish I held a beauty
That anyone could see.

I want to be a bird,
soaring by.
Flying high-
In the clear blue sky.
