I Will Not Miss You Poem by RACHEL ZARANTONELLO

I Will Not Miss You

I try everyday not to miss you
You are absent from my day
It's harder than I expected
Listening to the nothing you say
I feel like I can't breathe. Suffocating.
A heavy weight upon my chest
You left my heart cold and hollow
And my mind unable to rest
As much as I wish it were different
I know you will not stay
As hard as I fought not to,
I still gave my heart away
I will not think about you anymore
Or wait for your text or call
Ill erase you from my life
Ill no longer miss you at all
I tell myself this lie
As i cry myself to sleep
You were only fun for a minute
But never meant to keep
