I Will Never Take It Away Poem by Richard Jarboe

I Will Never Take It Away

Rating: 5.0

I will never take it away,
What you have, I'll never take,
I'll never take it away,
You keep it.

I don't want you youth,
I don't want your faith,
I don't want your eternity,
I don't want your hope,
You keep it to yourself and please keep it safe.

At times I may be too loud,
At times I may be intense,
And I may be a little different,
But I still got common sense.

I may be a little beat up,
I may be gettin' old,
But the future's what you make it,
Or so I've been told.

I know you're just starting,
But I'm just around the bend,
And I'll help you any way I can,
And I'll be there til the end.
