I will Keep Broken Things. Their beauty Is They Need Not Ever Be 'fixed.' I will keep Your Wild Free Laughter Though It is now Missing Its Reassuring And Graceful Hinge.----A great poem! Even in their broken state, some broken things may give solace and strength.

Love this one, very moving. The broken thing, the broken love, the broken poet... there's no need to fix it. Acceptance and treasuring of what is, is what it's about..

Preserving broken things as mementos of the most happy and memorable events and moments in one's life is a wonderful habit. Well deserved modern poem of the Day.

putting quickly aside the annoying errors in transcription of this poem, i appreciate the simplicity of it which suggests the struggle to accept the broken, the lost things in life—and the inevitability of such things in life—and the acceptance of our own broken selves. good one! -gk
