I Will Find You Poem by Isadora Quagmire

I Will Find You

I miss you so very much,
I wish only to reach you, to you touch.
To feel your warmth wrap and seal
my embrace—face to face—real.

Where are you now—I cannot say.
We shall meet again—how? I know not the way.
Roads are very long and have parted us from each other,
and we yet yearn for one another.

Strangers do surround—
no familiar face is to be found.
There is nothing we own,
we feel so alone.

I will find you, wherever you are!
I will go there—however far!
I will you embrace,
and I will kiss your faces.

I will never let go!
I miss you so!
In my heart tears fall for you,
yet this carries me on—my love will bring me to you.

I love you always,
to the end of all days,
forever—until we meet again—I shall be,
looking for you—and you for me…

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is one I wrote for my siblings when we were separated as orphans—thankfully there is a happy ending, we found each other and went to live with a distant relative :)
