Rating: 5.0

I will disappear into the memory of the wind;
I will fold myself into the gilded leaves of dawn;
reach for my bones and you will grasp a handful
of morning; seize my flesh and you will find

Only a very great and visionary poet could have reached such Pantheistic height of beauty with such imagery and such eloquent and poetic word flow.. You are not only a great poet but a great artist that paints with God given talent and with the depth of heartfelt words your unforgettable verses. Your poem certainly is ' A glorious tapestry of creation'. With which you have become one. united. I have never read anything so gloriously flowing into the ever moving river of Nature and its wonders.

My dear Sandra, your gracious words enlighten my day and lift my spirit. There is such beauty in the resonance of humanity that compels our desire to create and share art. But it is never complete until another heart resonates. In the kindness and thoughtfulness of your comment I can hear the beating heart of a true artist. Thank you for your beautiful and encouraging words.

What a wonderful way to look at life and death, you have become the morning in everything that lives. Awake, alive and so very vivid with everything that is alive. This is a work of art. Thank you Seamus for sharing this beautiful work

Gosh! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Brilliant poem Seamus .The form fading into the formless and exploding into being. Yes we will all disappear into the memory of the wind.what a beautiful image. I love the sense of spaciousness this poem opens up. It's interesting the last 8 magnificent lines about death are SO life-giving. I feel the power of them in the rock bone ground of my being. I love the image of a sunbeam exploding piercing the wonder of all that is alive and all that is wonderful to behold and becoming the morning. What a climax! ! ! A delight to read thank you

Marvellous poem with fantastic expression. Nice penmanship. It may be quoted... in realms of awe I have melded my vision into the gloriously tangled tapestries of creation. When my soul finally rejects this transient allograft I will scatter like a sunbeam fractured into a thousand shards piercing the wonder of all that is alive, all that is wonderful to behold. And I will become the morning. Enjoyed with thanks.

hey, neal! i was going to explore an earlier posting of yours when i saw this new one. once again i am impressed by the range of words you summon. the number of phrases that stand out would make a long list. the first one to catch me was- I will fold myself into the gilded leaves of dawn. i felt this, feel it. i'll mention one more- molten amniotic contractions shuddering with the promise of mountains. dang, neal! i had to look up allograft. a good word in this context. strange and amazing to think that the things of this world which we think of as solid are composed mostly of space, that all the solidity of the world springs from invisible spirit. thank you, neal, for this mini-journey you took me on. l'chaim! glen

Hi, Glen! I love that concept of seeing the material world for the mostly nothingness that it is. A profound concept that reality is mostly particles that would ordinarily repel each other, the entire universe threaded together and held in place by the mysterious Strong nuclear forces. That so many cannot believe in an Entity that they cannot see or touch, yet all of reality is held together by a Hand that cannot be seen nor touched, explained or predicted.

Within the tapestries of creation, each dawn has its day and in that day we recall those precious moments that infused meaning to us, death? ....it wears two faces but has the same smile...and both smile upon you poetry my friend.....you know poetry, this poem is just totally awesome, you have my respect and admiration, this poem covers so many different emotions and puts so many different doors that open to those that read with the heart, bravo! ! ! !

Life and death, Bill, two faces of the same reality. You are profoundly onto something significant there. Thank you for your very gracious thoughts and, as always, your incisive insight, Bill. Be blessed, my friend.
