a poignant write from the perspective of a girl-symbol of all girls/women - in India and elsewhere in the world - to whom a proper education is denied. All children are equal, and they have to be treated equally, because we (women and men) are all human beings, with the same rights and duties.. and Education is the common basis of our own future and the future of human society. Thanks for sharing, Bhargabi. Blessings
Even now it is so sad that daughters are discriminated while the sons are given a lot of education and exposure! Unless parents and the society learn to see men and women on equal footing, we will continue to be in an underdeveloped state! The poem is quite touching written from the perspective of a little girl who is denied education!
State of mind of a little Indian village girl is so beautifully depicted.. the girl children of any country should always get same opportunities as boys do. great write. thank you.
I have 4 daughters and want for them all the same as my boys. Very nicely conceived and written
Very nicely penned down, the feelings of a daughter. The poem has immense feelings linked to each line and comes out as a masterpiece.
Verily, a daughter has the ability and skill to work at home and work for a profession and earn as man, and earn livelihood and raise a family. The poem depicts the true nature of a girl.
Laughter is the medicine to the heart! And, to study is better than knowing nothing at all. Thanks for sharing.
