I Want To Fly Poem by Anshul Gupta

I Want To Fly

I want to fly
away from this cage called world
I want to live
alone in the unnamed skies
My soul abhors this captivity
The child within me wants to cry
I want to fly.

I want to fly
And feel the clouds on my skin
I want to feel the coolness of air in my lungs
I want to experience the rime
I want to meditate in the sky
I want to fly.

Let me go away from this noisy crowd
The pandemonium inside my mind is so loud
My heart wants to turn on the faucet of love's supply
Let my love flow in the sky
I want to fly.

I want to befriend the Moon and The Sun
I want to get lost in the enigma of stars at night
I want to enjoy the perfume of silence in the sky
I want to give it a try
I want to fly.

May be my problems
would appear small from up there
May be the pail full of worries would dry
Let me fly.

When I am detached from this world
there won't be any doubt and fear
I want to leave everything back here
I don't want to take any chance
No one would be able to find me
I would fly so high
I want to fly.

I think this poem expresses very well a longing for detachment. Very nice. Turning on the faucet of love's supply is a very strinking image. Lets do that straight away by giving a smile and a nice word to whoever we meet tomorrow. This is a very inspiring poem.
