I Want To Be A Nobody Poem by Kelvin Rush

I Want To Be A Nobody

I want to be a nobody
With no future present or past
I don't want to build a vast empire
Cos I know that nothing will last

I don't want to stand out in a crowd
Have a million secret admirers
I don't want to show off be proud and loud
Wear a thousand different disguises

I don't want to have any loyal friends
Be fashionable trendy or cool
I don't want to be a hero or villain
Or play the frivolous fool

I don't want to be remembered after I die
That would be a waste of time
I just want to be a nobody
Is that such a crime
