You know, Soran, those 3 lines were my favorite ones too! !
The poet writes the details and special amazing moments of her life in poetry, she is a poet on paper and in practical life as well. Yes, we agree with the poet here that we need to read books that contain a sense of humor, so that we do not fall into the tragedies of time, this is a beautiful and comic text that deserves 5 stars. We wish success to our poet and novelist Susan .
I laughed out loud. I'm not talking just a ladylike titter- I'm talking a robust belly laugh. ..........that will shake the timbers of your roof!
Now that's a book review! If I were the author, I'd be giving you the royalties. You sold me on the book! And although her work is decribed as chick lit, I just might read it because of your review. You're hired! Donald's fired! Thanks for the fun read.
Hey! ! ! Thank you, Richard! ! ! ! It would be fun to see what a man thought of this book and would he laugh at it as well.... your mission, should you decide to take it, is to capture this book known to hang out at your local library and interrogate it! ! ! I am tickled you enjoyed this.! ! !
You've given me an idea- -concerning finding an agent for my own book series. Hmmmmmm
In the evening of a tiring day we need to be relaxed, it may be a nice book, I prefer it on an entertaibng TV programme that is interruptement by advertisments again again, advertiements when appear on the scrren the volume of sound is so much enhance that it becomes painful. The poet has written a lovely poetic review, no surprise this is from Susan Williams.
Hahahahhahahaha- -and so many of those advertisements set me against the product they are trying to sell to me- -or at the end of that expensive t.v. ad I wonder what in the world were they selling. The lengths that businesses will go through to force you to at least hear their ads is indeed excruciating! ! !
Warning: For some reason, the book has like 3 f-bombs in it. Embarrassed, they perch there on the page looking as alien as streetwalkers in a Nunnery, so out-of-place that you have to think that the editors plopped them in there ..........to give the book a For Mature Audiences Only rating.......so true. This poem has a special attraction. It's inscription is nice, touching and it's theme is nice. This poem invited me for reading second time. Thank u again.
I wanted to write a book review and then I thought to arouse some interest by putting it in verse form. And that made the process fun and exciting and liberating from the typical prose style. Glad you enjoyed it... twice! ! ! !
Muse! ! Here it is! Whimsical as well. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
I did have a bit of fun with this- I like the word whimsical that you used to describe it. Thank you!
I enjoyed your poem on this fun, lighthearted book you read. I have a few books stored I wish to read one day although it's been a few years since I have read a novel. Usually a glance at a reference text book nowadays (when I'm not studying) or very light reading of a magazine is about all I have time for lately. I may just squeeze this one in.
If you ever just want light-hearted fluff that will only engage you in smiles, -I'VE GOT YOUR NUMBER by Sophie Kinsella. makes a relaxing evening read! . Right now I am reading [savoring, actually] The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. By no means light-hearted fluff, but the mastery Steinbeck has in creating scenes of the crushing days of the Depression and the dying murdered land and the poor people trying so hard to find a new life when their hearts are still wed to their family farms handed down from father to son is truly awe-inspiring and a great great read.....
I appriciate your penmanship here. Dear Susan, you have so aptly, wisely and nicely painted this poem. Hope, it will give much pleasure to the readers. Enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the read and the comment- -I had so much fun reading this book that I had to try giving it a fun-to-read critique!
What a great review! I've a book like that called Never hit a Jellyfish with a Spade. It's a collection of newspaper articles all enttled.. How to.... One is How to go to the Tip. Apparently they don't accept redundant husbands there. You have to refer these to the Divorce Courts! I still laugh as loudly after the tenth read. Sounds like you've found one too! I think this one review will be reviewed often in my favourites' list, Sizzling Sue.
Don't you just love a book that can make you laugh the third time through as well as the first time. It is easy to reread tragedies and drama, but humor is a tricky and challenging talent in its very own class. I'm glad you enjoyed my review- I tried to capture the spirit of the book. Thank you, Thoroughly Tricksy Tom! ! ! !
Very Poetic And Creatively Done Dear! ! ! ! ! Many Many 10S! ! ! ! ! ! ! ++++
My take on writing book reviews seems to be different... to say the least! ! ! Thank you for the support and the grinning tens! ! !
You Can Feel The Excitement And Joy In Heart In This! ! ! ! ! Which Brings Many Smiles! ! ! ! ! Which Is A Wonderful Thing To Share! ! ! ! ! God Be With! ! ! ! !
Its an interesting review as wonderful as your poem. The publisher will be encouraged to come up more books after reading your review. I do agree with you that it can be embarrassing especially when people smile all alone walking down the street or shopping. I can relate with this. Loved it from your pen Susan.
I had such fun reading this book that I just had to write a review of it! I do sort of live in my own mind and forget when I am out and about alone that laughing out loud may dismay some people! Thank you for the wonderful compliment!
I feel inspired by your style of writing. This is really a highly relatable and pleasing write-up. It took me there, as I recalled some of the works of Harold Robins and Jackie Collins. Great write Susan.
I have never read Harold Robins or Jackie Collins. I think Harold has a social or historical ring to his nooks? ? I'VE GOT YOUR NUMBER by Sophie Kinsella is just romantic fluff with absolutely no redeeming social commentary or historical significance, but it is so dang funny
If the publisher of that book happens to read your review, he will hire you to promote his book.... I am sure! Your review has made me long to read that book and have a hearty laugh! A book of humor always fascinates me... My husband never takes me for a comic movie telling I will embarrass him with my girlish silly laughter! for days and days after reading this book, you will suddenly smile to yourself and, ..........remembering the end, laugh out loud. I can so well relate to this experience Susan! High rating from me!
A reader after my own heart! ! I love all kinds of fiction- -from murder mysteries to coroner mysteries to growing up novels to romance but if I find an author who can make me laugh out loud that author goes on my favorite list and I will read every book they published book after book after book! I book binge! ! ! This author has tapped my funny bone in several books now. I wrote this after reading -I'VE GOT YOUR NUMBER by Sophie Kinsella. It's romantic fluff but sometimes a mind needs a break from important reality issues and just have a good laugh... Thank you for enjoying this!
Susan if the book is half as enteraining as your review, it must be terrific. Reading this had plenty of chuckle factor in it....brilliant....
Yes! Thank you, Annette, I was hoping to get smiles on the faces, a few chuckles, and a desire to read said book... you've been a writer's dream reader.
you have got a book review for us... if we have some, several or many books! ! interesting.. the review
A great review, Susan! And it makes me want to go back to some classic screwball romantic comedy....The Lady Eve, Palm Beach Story....romance, a twist ending, no F-bombs.....Another 10, Susan!
I'm glad you had fun reading this! It was sheer fun to write it! Hope you find the time for a little bit of humor, a whole lot of mischievous love, and a barrel of laughter. Thank you for the 10, my friend!
So amazing. You have a great sense of humor. I love this book review. Yes, a book that can put a smile on your face is certainly worth a read, in fact more than a single read. And a movie on your favorite book is the one not to be missed. A humor as subtle as the air. Evokes comfortable images, this write. And the reader feels like plopping down in armchair for a cozy read. A huge 10.
Exactly what I wanted to promote- -the desire to curl up with a light-hearted book and savor the fluff and fun of life as well as the deep dark books of powerful meanings spawning great philosophic debates and literary warfare. I am so happy you enjoyed this. And thank you for the kind 10!
Fun. A review like this will get me clicking the purchase button! I was hoping for a few recommendations in the author's note. Thanks Susan.
Oops. I was going to do that and forgot. Here's the book I reviewed- -I'VE GOT YOUR NUMBER by Sophie Kinsella. It's light-hearted, just right when reality is choking us. I got it off the online library for our state- fast and free.
Soran, thank you so much for supporting my efforts as a poet and for believing I can be a published author of a series of books! ! ! You have no idea how much that encouragement means to me! ! !
