I, Tyrant Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

I, Tyrant

Rating: 5.0

I, Tyrant.

I, Tyrant promised you citizens a good life but,
the good things are for me and my family, because i amI, Tyrant.

The army and police belong to me, for i, I, Tyrant, am the State.
They are there to quell your wayward spirits for me I, Tyrant.
If you want to demonstrate against I, Tyrant? ,
talk to the secret services and see if they allow you.

Now that there are shortages of everything listen to me, I, Tyrant,
tow the line and i will give you handouts and donations.

The treasury is broke but I, Tyrant am buying a new jet for my foreign trips

What Covid 19 funds are you talking about. I, Tyrant don't know anything.
My brother I, Tyranny, now runs all state institutions, so do as he says.

I, Tyrant, was a freedom fighter suffering in the trenches,
so i need gratuity into perpetuity, even for my grand children.

For, i am I, Tyrant; your ruler for life,
the only ruler you will ever need.
