I Took A Trireme

I needed to see THIS violet
by THIS flowing stream.
I took a trireme to THIS islet -
I needed to see THIS violet
to inspire THIS triolet.
To THIS islet I took a trireme -
I needed to see THIS violet
by THIS flowing stream.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
7AUG20. I came across 'triolet'- a poem rhyming ab aa abab in which lines 1,4 and 7 and lines 2 and 8 are the same - in my treasure (dictionary)while looking for 'trireme'. To a triolet I decided to try my hand.
Pic is of an ancient Greek trireme, a little excessive, I admit, for getting to an islet to see a violet by a flowing stream.
