A really great write. Your poem says a lot about how politics affect our very existence. The world will not change until the ones that hold the upper hand decides to give place to the not so fortunate. Appreciate this eye opener and thought provoking write.
...i'M AT A LOST FOR WORDS. Real events, real life, true story...what else can a poet say to another, other then i love it?

We, the mass are always under the wheel of oppression.Only the transfer of power takes place.Nothing positive happens.Really.
New thinking and way of life can only change the society! Just change of power from one hand to another will not bring radical changes. But son has really inspired us with the new thought. Nice theme. Well written!
Truth truth truth. As a civil engineer we try so much to put systems in place and implement infrastructure on so many levels to assist the development process, but sadly still find ourselves dominated by political decisions. It's disconcerting that politicians are making decision, which require technical and professional engineering expertise, where the result of these decisions can lead to the premature failure of a water distribution system for example. So many innocent people are at the mercy of the government's decisions on service delivery...if you see the true nature of municipal management...it's quite frightening...
We bleed for false hope but upon healing we will learn to see a true one...One day.._Unwritten Soul
No dear friend, nothing is going to change if the whole system doesn't go down. What can one man do? But for a real revolution we need to know what are we going to do afterwards or it will fall again in the oportunists hands, many have lived that more than once(see East Europe) so I dare you to dream and write how do you see a new world without government, fair system with free choice, without circus like elections, no lies, no corruption no manipulations... please dream aloud, go on.
Now, Bra Siya. Am Going To be very technical on this one, I read this poem, and somehow reminded me of a poem you yourself wrote and it was title Thanks For..... And after I have read this one, before I even commented I went back to that poem of yours, and with reference to it, I remember saying, Words Can Only Speak And Actions Will Always Destroy, It might be two different themes with different contexts, but tell you what, the most common thing there is Words And Action, They Told us these, but they did that, they fooled us with a whole of this, but they gave completly something that was less than that. Thanks Again for sharing this truthfull reflection bro The_African_Son
I can relate and many more to this sentiments, life sometimes is unfair! Thought provoking piece!
Yes we thought we were free of the terror of oppressors but its even worse at the hands of our own brothers and sisters. Whom we fought with during the trying times. Masterly crafted, you breath poetry.
Life! ! With broken promises. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
