I Stand With A Heart Full Of Longing- 2

2
I stand with a heart full of longing,
In the hush where shadows fall,
The breath of night against my skin,
Thy name the sweetest call.
Each sigh is steeped in memory,
Of days when thou wert near,
And now thy absence weaves a thread
Of yearning sharp and clear.
I trace thy image in the stars,
In every petal kissed by dew,
Even the breeze that brushes past
Feels like a whispering of you.
What is this ache that will not fade,
This ache that time can't bend?
It is thy love — a burning truth,
That neither breaks nor ends.
Still I remain, my spirit bare,
Beneath the heavens' dome,
A silhouette against thy love,
Without thee, yet at home.

This poem is extracted from my book 'Silhouetted against thy love'. It reflects my dialogue with memory, shadow, and soul—the timeless dance between presence and distance, between the seen and the felt.
