I think back and it makes me smile,
And I so happily wonder...
When you were so, so young,
How we loved to walk along the rivers edge,
On a sunny summer's day,
Following every twist and turn for miles,
All alone expect for the insects, birds and dragonflies.
The dragonflies.
You adored watching the dragonflies.
And another time...
Or how you giggled when I swung you in the air.
That little girls giggle.
Or when we put on our warmest clothes,
And went crunching into the freshly fallen snow.
Your little pink bobble hat,
And tiny matching mittens.
And again that giggle.
Your giggle.
Do you still remember?
Those memories.
Those beautiful, brilliant memories.
Because I do.
I always will.

Tenderness and imagery sublime A most moving poem, Touches heart Much more, Than it does mind. Unforgettable remembrance, feelings, so well projected we can also feel the memories and the love. Only in great writing does this happen!
