I Once So Loved A Lass Poem by Randy McClave

I Once So Loved A Lass

I once so loved a lass
But, I will not ever cry out her name,
Like a dream she did pass
All she left me was heartache and pain.
I still sometimes wonder were now she is
Or maybe where she has went,
I wonder if someone else now calls her his
And I wonder if she ever did repent.

She might take the high road
Or she might take the low,
God will remember what all is owed
When it is her time to go.

She had lied and she had cheated
She broke promises and hate she did stir,
When we first had met and greeted
I wanted so much just to love her.
If I were just a fly upon the wall
I ponder as I walk upon my green, green grass,
God of course had saw and heard it all
I once so loved a lass.
