I never recover from your love
It's a wound that won't heal
A heart that won't mend
A pain that won't leave

I thought I could forget you
But your memory lingers on
In every corner of my mind
And in every beat of my heart

I try to move on
But your love is like a chain
Binding me to the past
And holding me in pain

I wish I could break free
And find someone new
But no one compares to you
And what we once knew

So I'll live with this ache
And the emptiness inside
Knowing I'll never recover
From the love we tried to hide
