I never loved
Well frankly I never did
And never cared
The truly ugly things
Like what makes a lady
A beautiful whore.
For
A woman is a wonderful company
Her sinful ways a tragedy.
A man is a friend
A child his belongings
Of the times
of innocence.
I never loved
A tramp or a lady
Cause I never gave
More than anybody else.
I never looked
And It never shook within my heart
And i never felt a breath
Skip my lungs
That would say
We have met
Once again
On a bright Summer's day
Or an evening in winter
With the intention
Of not staying forever.
Why stay forever,
together,
When life is meant to part.
And years would falter
And we might meet
In each other's lives
As fake and as pretentious
And would smile
And would look
Just as happy
As we weren't.
