I Miss You Mom Poem by Jan E Smith

I Miss You Mom

I miss your smile, I miss your laugh
I miss how much you loved giraffes.
I miss your phone calls at 5 am.
When you'd call my day began.

I miss the way you shielded me.
And unconditionally accepted me.
You knew my strengths and weaknesses too.
Had so much faith in what I'd do.

And when life got the best of me
You'd hold me close and let me see...
No matter how much life gets one down
It's smiles shared that outweigh each frown.

I love you Mom!
