The nights are colder and my heart grows sadder
As I remember your wonderful smile
My heart starts to ache and my hands start to shake
As I know it has become a year
I miss you so much and my heart still breaks
Each time I see you again
Because I know when I come home
I will be alone and you wont be there
Why dose fate have to be so cruel some times
Why do things tear your heart away
I miss the days when I’d come home
And you’d be waiting for me
When the house was empty but you were still there
Loyal and faithful to me
Your touch would kill all the doubts in my mind
And to hug you would make the pain go away
Now were is my refuge? Were is my healer
Will I ever be with you again
Or shall it just be a constant visit of fear
As I have you pull away from me
Your no longer there when my tears touch the ground
My heart has no one to caress it
Were is the love that I knew oh so well
And the one who would bring a smile to my face
No matter how gray the days were
I miss you every day and remember our times
Playing In the snow and sneaking out at 1 am
Just to meet the guy I was with but you never
Seemed to care, you would sit by my side
And wait till I said good-bye and never whimper
Or sigh and when it came time to sleep
You’d cuddle next to me and I’d hug you
Till morning would come, you were the first thing
I would see when I was awake and the last when
I drifted off to sleep and no matter how sick
Or how tired I was you would never leave my side
But where are you now? Torn from my arms
And it sill haunts my dreams
To come how to no one and to sleep all alone
And to awake with you no longer there
I wish I could change fate and have you with me
So my hero would be by my side
Because the days are so long and the tears
Constantly fall but I have no one to catch them
Maybe one day I’ll see you again
But for now I’ll hold your memories close
I’ll never forget the friend that I had
And the one who loved me for who I am
