when sitting lazily, slightly tired,

Can power or wisdom ever satisfy? Wise man poem and you are really lead with style. Experiences makes this poem very contemporary but reality binds. Ordinary man with ordinary ordeal without extravagant dream. Thats what i can say after reading this poem. 10+ for you sir.

Fabulous. You have packaged tonnes of philosophy into this incredible work of art. It felt like going on a long and tranquil train journey on a picturesque route and enjoying every bit of a slice of life at every moment of the journey totally unaware of where we are yet completely living out that instant. So much positive energy flows through in your work! Repetition of these two lines reiterates the essence of the poem: What's my station in the world doesn't cross the mind, I 'm more content, more alive I find. The best lines in my opinion: The beauty of the clouds moving across the sky! Or the sound of the rain and the songs of birds! A starry night and the snow covered ranges! The stillness strangely fills the whole nature, And blurs all the self-images, my false stature. A sure 10++++ here, too. Tonnes of thanks for sharing.

You are one of the fortunate ones who can tune into meditation. One of the most difficult but most profound ways, usually reserved for young people with the energy to focus enough, is to follow a thought to the end or through its linkage (linked thoughts) to the end, at which the thinking stops, and only watching remains. No big deal over other ways but it is the profoundest and most seldom done; one way of actually sometimes resolving a problem. As you probably already know, a problem disappears, gets resolved rather than answered through a successful meditation on it. Difficult and somewhat rare, any way you go about it. I guess that's why we usually count ourselves lucky just to be able to get some quietness and not expect to solve any problems directly. We are any of us lucky to be able to get into the meditation. You seem to be one of the more successful ones.

‘The present moment then comes alive. /And Past or Future left nothing to revive’ To be happy is to live in present and not fuss over past and future …over which one has no control…and so you’re, ‘I 'm the happiness, more alive I find.’ Finally you’ve concluded ‘Stillness beyond the Ego/What brings me near Thee! ’ Excellent conclusion …rhapsodic Sir 10+. It is all inside of us. The soul, the biggest source of happiness only heard when we quiet the thoughts of our ego. I feel I really can connect to this poem The poem makes me feel like exploring more of the depth of my soul. Thanks Amrit,

Superb poetry. Many a poet floated through my mind while reading this poem. Wordsworthian wanderings and wand. Although a lengthy one but quite engaging. Best regards, CP

True! We get glimpse of stillness and our ego leaving us in all the activities you are describing in your poem. We certainly feel joyful and happy in that state, and as you say nearer to God. [I'm the happiness. And the real me is this, Stillness beyond the Ego What brings me near Thee! ] A GREAT INSIGHT! Keep writing such stuff. God bless you.

if more people acted instead of just thinking on these thoughts, the world would undoubtedly be a better place
